About this tool

Compress multiple PDFs at once and download them all as a single ZIP. Saves the tedium of compressing files one at a time when you're cleaning up a folder of old reports, prepping a batch of receipts, or shrinking a stack of scans before archiving. Same browser-based, private compression as the single-file tool, just at scale.

When to use it

  • Cleaning up a folder of large PDF reports before archiving
  • Shrinking a batch of scanned receipts for an expense submission
  • Preparing a stack of PDFs for upload to a service with a per-file size limit
  • Reducing storage costs across a library of legacy PDFs
  • Preparing many PDFs for email distribution where attachment size matters

What to expect

Compression is applied to each file independently — results vary based on each PDF's content. Image-heavy PDFs shrink most; text-only PDFs less so. The output ZIP keeps original filenames so you can easily replace the originals once you've checked the results.

Frequently asked questions

How many PDFs can I compress at once?

There's no hard limit, but performance depends on your browser and machine. Comfortable up to 50–100 files; for hundreds of large PDFs, consider working in batches.

Will the filenames be preserved?

Yes. Each PDF in the ZIP keeps its original filename, so you can extract and replace the originals without renaming.

What if one of the PDFs fails to compress?

It's skipped and logged. The other files still compress normally and end up in the ZIP. Look for a status note after the batch completes if any files were skipped.
