About this tool
Add a watermark or stamp to every page of a PDF — text or an uploaded image, with adjustable opacity and placement. Use it to mark documents as Draft, Confidential, or Internal Use Only, or to brand outgoing PDFs with your logo. Runs entirely in your browser, so the original document never leaves your device.
When to use it
- Marking a contract draft as `DRAFT` to prevent accidental signing of the wrong version
- Stamping `CONFIDENTIAL` across every page before sharing internally
- Adding a company logo to outgoing client PDFs for a branded touch
- Marking an old document as `SUPERSEDED` once a newer version exists
- Adding a date or version number visibly on every page
What to expect
The watermark is rendered into each page — visible at any zoom level and travels with the document. Use opacity to make text watermarks legible without obscuring the underlying content. Image watermarks should be PNGs with transparency for best results.
Frequently asked questions
Can I remove the watermark later?
Watermarks are baked into the page content, so removing them requires editing the PDF (e.g., redaction over the watermark). For temporary marking that you want to remove easily, consider a separate cover sheet instead.
Will the watermark appear on every page?
Yes — the same watermark is applied to all pages by default. The exact position and opacity are configurable so you can balance visibility against readability of the underlying content.
What size should my image watermark be?
Use a transparent PNG sized close to its final on-page size — typically 150–400 pixels on the longest edge. Oversized images get downscaled automatically; undersized images can look pixelated when blown up.
